How packing day works
Survey
We see what is in the home and estimate materials, so nothing runs out halfway through.
Materials delivered
Boxes can arrive days early if you want to pack personal items yourself.
Fragile first
Glassware, art, electronics and mirrors are packed before anything else, while the crew is freshest.
Room by room
Each room is finished and labelled before the next one starts, so nothing gets mixed.
Loaded in order
Boxes go into the truck in the order they will come out at the other end.
What changes the price of packing
There is no flat rate, because no two homes or buildings are the same. These are the factors a surveyor is measuring.
Full or partial
Packing an entire home costs more than packing only the fragile items. Both are quoted separately so you can choose.
Volume of fragile items
Glassware, art, crockery and mirrors take the most time and the most material.
Size of the home
A studio is a half day. A four-bedroom villa is usually a full day of packing before moving day.
Wardrobes and clothing
Hanging wardrobe boxes cost more than cartons but save hours of ironing at the other end.
Unpacking
Optional. If you want the crew to unpack and remove packaging, it is added to the written quote.

Do you provide the boxes and materials?
Yes. Everything comes with the crew and the cost is in the written quote. If you want to pack some items yourself, we can drop materials off a few days early.
Can I pack some things myself?
Of course. Many people pack personal items and clothing themselves and leave the kitchen, glassware and electronics to us. That is a partial packing quote.
How long does packing take?
A studio or one-bedroom is usually a half day. Two to three bedrooms is a full day. Villas are normally packed the day before the move.
Do you unpack as well?
Yes, if you want it. Unpacking is quoted separately — boxes emptied, contents placed, and all packaging taken away.
What if something breaks?
Tell your coordinator immediately and we will deal with it. Flag anything already damaged or unusually fragile before the move so the crew handles it accordingly.
